Oh No - not PUPPIES
Well, the circle of life is interesting. Our newest member to the family is a black lab that had been hit by a car.... apparently that isn't all she was hit by... or hit up by....... oh no! She is having puppies, her temperature is 99.9 and below 100 means puppies in 24 hours........... I can hardly believe this craziness, we just figured out the dog was pregnant and now she is about to give birth! Holy Crap! She is a ho-dog! Cassanova would have thought this was disgusting. He would not laugh at having puppies around. I think he had a soft spot for the dog though.............
I'll let you know what we ended up with and how many... who knows she may have got knocked up by a chihuaha! LOL

free
Have you ever sat and thought about life after death? Wow, deep huh? Not really. I don't actually think there is 'life' after death as that would mean your not dead. But, I believe in ghosts. Funny thing about that... we have a cabinet door that opens and closes by itself ALL OF THE TIME. We have ruled out any animals doing it........ well, when Cassy died or right before he died, my daughter said the cabinets would probably be banging good that night... and I'll be a buttered biscuit if the cabinets didn't bang for hours that night... SPOOKY! Not being a scaredy cat, it didn't bother me. So, was that our Cassanova? I don't know what it was, but it is interesting.
Just thought I'd share that with you. Until I blog again... SD Cat!

Us
He walked beside me
Sat with me
Listened to me
He was all things big and small
Apart in my heart we will never be
It will be us together again one day, Cassanova and me.
Forever and always... Cassy's mom

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...

Good Bye Friend
Cassanova passed away yesterday, 1/30/08, he was 15. My wonderful cat had lymphoma that had spread to his internal organs, I was with him as he crossed over. My heart is broken for me, my kids and my other pets. Our cat Nosey has gone from the Baby of the family last Jan 07 to the Middle kitty when we got our kitten Flour and now he is the oldest... he was very sad last night and found comfort trying to kick me off my pillow all night. In the near future I will continue to blog for Cassanova and tell the stories of his life... Nosey will be taking over soon....
Thank you for reading and for your thoughts and prayers. SD

My Way
Today is a sad day in our home, Cassanova is in the hospital and it looks as though his laughter may end. Cassanova has a tumor in his stomach and right now the doctors are working on him, however I will not allow him to suffer and will help him cross over to Rainbow Bridge if his pain or level of life is in any way compromised. Please keep him and our family in your prayers, it has only been a year since we lost of beloved Flash and this is very difficult on our family.
Hug your pet today, and when all is better, we will continue on his journey and let you know about his laughing life... not to mention a DOG moved in with us.
Thank you... his beloved S
